Helvetia Hotel was opened in 2003, in a mansion built in the XVIII century and reconstructed in the middle of the XIX century by the famous Petersburg architect Augusto Lange, which in 1871 became a Swiss citizen. Helvetia is one of the names of Switzerland, which proceeds from ancient tribe – Helvetians. After restoration and reconstruction of the architectural complex in 19992003, it became “a piece of Switzerland” maintaining noble signs of Petersburg style. Entering through splendid forged gates, you come to a restful and comfortable Petersburg court, which justifiably can be called a heart of out hotel. Hotel interiors are well balanced with the unique, Elizabethan-baroque type façade.
The mansion is situated in the centre of the city, in a quarter of five-star hotels. Immediate vicinity to the main artery of the city – Nevskiy Prospekt – allows to take promenades to most of places of interest, administrative and office buildings. Besides, there are three metro stations at 500 metres from the hotel (Ploschad’ Vosstaniya, Mayakovskaya and Dostoyevskaya), which allow to get to almost all parts of the city within 20 minutes.
Unique combination of luxuriance, comfort, elegance and special spirit of an old mansion will make your staying in Helvetia Hotel really unforgettable.
